DC reviews preparedness for Panchayat Secretary Exam in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 29: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex to assess the arrangements for the OMR-based written examination for Panchayat Secretary being conducted by the J&K Service Selection Board.

The meeting, attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Additional SP Anwar-Ul-Haq, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Rafiq Ahmed Jaral, and other officers, focused on various aspects of the examination.

Discussions included the deployment of Magistrates, supervisory staff, examination observers, and videography of the exam. The DC emphasized the need to impart training to staff and the provision of necessary facilities for a seamless examination process.

The DC instructed officers to make ample deployment of staff at the examination centers, with backup arrangements to address any unforeseen circumstances. Transportation of examination materials was also a key point of discussion.

The examination is scheduled for December 10, 2023, from 12 noon to 2 pm, across 23 examination centers, with 9822 aspirants expected to participate. The meeting concluded with directives to concerned departments to finalize all necessary arrangements, emphasizing the importance of coordination and cohesion for a smooth and peaceful examination. Mobile phones and electronic devices will not be permitted inside the examination centers.
