Chenab Valley Range Police have been organising different sports events under different Civic Action Programmes

With an aim to inculcate a sense of fitness among youth and promotion of sports activities in the Chenab Valley, Range Police have been organising different sports events under different Civic Action Programmes with the help of general public and other stake holders. Continuing with the same spirit and efforts, today on 27-10-2022, a Teaser & Unveiling Ceremony of cricket tournament has been organised by Range Police Hqrs, Batote under the banner ‘’KHELO KHEL BHULO NASHA’’ premises of DPL Doda, which is being started in sports stadium Doda from 2nd of November 2022. A total 24 numbers of teams will participate in the said tournament which have been selected out of 252 teams of DKR range in the first phase. Captains of all the 24 teams participating in the tournament were present on the occasion where Chief Guest Dr. Sunil Gupta-IPS, DIG DKR Range Batote unveiled the trophies of Winner and Runner-up of the tournament alongwith colourful dresses of all the teams during the ceremony in the presence of Sh. Vishesh Paul Mahajan DC Doda, Sh. Abdul Qayoom SSP Doda, Sh. Mohd Aslam SO to DIG DKR Range Batote and other officers of Police and Civil Administration.Also song on ‘’KHELO KHEL BHULO NASHA’and social media and youth channel where unveiled. It is pertinent to mention here that the tournament is being organised with the help and co-efforts of all the SSPs of three Districts i.e Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar of the Range and by the sponsorship of a number of stake holders of the range and J&K UT, who were also present on the occasion.During unveiling the ceremony while speaking to media, Worthy DIG Range told that it is a great opportunity for the youngster to showcase their talent. He also told that total 34 Matches will be played with a special attraction of participation of women Cricket teams of Doda and outside UT. Three matches of the women teams will also be witnessed. Winner and Runner-up of the tournament will be awarded with attractive trophies as well as a cash price of rupees 100000 rupees and 50000 for Winner and Runner-up teams respectively. Beside this Man of the tournament and Man of the match of every match will also be awarded suitably. Main sponsors of the tournament viz: – Jai Parkash Ltd. APS Infrastructure Ltd. Patel engineering Ltd. Monolisan ABCI, Ciegall India Ltd. Radison Blue, HCC, Paras, LT, Ali Brothers and Hamdard Ramban were also present on the occasion.
