RAMBAN
Acting tough against the bovine smugglers and to curb the bovine smuggling menace in District Ramban, Ramban police acting on the specific inputs regarding transportation of bovine animals, different police parties of P/S Batote, P/S Chanderkote and P/S Ramban intercepted 16 different vehicles bearing registration numbers JK03A/8661, JK02AR/8377, JK13F/0596, JK19A/1487, JK02BJ/3785, JK02AS/7186, JK03A/8661, JK19/5011, JK02AP/5281, JK02AT/4957, JK03G/3476, JK02BQ/1861, JK02BR/9717, JK14C/3247, JK03D/7802 and Jk03B/2738 which were on their way from Jammu towards Srinagar and after checking, all the above mentioned vehicles were found loaded with 343 Bovine animals with utmost cruelty and without any arrangements of food and water and these bovine animals were being transported to valley without any valid permission of competent authority, thereby rescuing in total 343 bovine animals under the *operation “KAMDHENU”*. In this regard, Case FIR No. 225, 224/2022, 01 & 02/2023 registered at PS Batote, Case FIR No’s 182,183,184,186,187,188/2022 , 01/2023 registered in PS Chanderkote , Case FIR No’s 429,430,431/2022, 02 & 03/2023 registered in PS Ramban under relevant sections of law and investigations set into motion.
The overall rescue operation was made by police parties under the command of *Insp P D Singh SHO PS Chanderkote , Insp Sandeep Charak SHO PS Ramban and Insp Sam Gill SHO PS Batote under the supervision of Sh. Pardeep Singh Sen, Dy.SP Hqrs Ramban with the overall supervision of SP Ramban, Ms Mohita Sharma IPS.*
