Aam Aadmi Party, State Spokesperson Partap Singh Jamwal strongly condemning brutal lathicharge on Rehbar-e-khel teachers protesting for their genuine demands. He said that the action of the cops on peacefully protesting Rek Employees, including females, is indication that Lg Administration in J&K is shamelessly adopting oppressive means to stifle voice of the people. Today’s gruesome lathicharge on Rek teachers including female is an indication that Lg Administration has decided to snub voice of the workers through force and is no solution to the long imminent issue as it would only lead to turbulence in the state.
He said that Rehbar- e- Khel teachers were recruited in Jammu and Kashmir Government under Department of Youth Services and Sports and these employees are now serving in different education institutions.
Partap said that it is really shameful and inhuman that instead of listening the grievances of the aggrieved Rehbar-e-khel Teachers authorities directed cops to use brutal force against agitating workers who were protesting peacefully. The use of police against the work force is no solution to the long imminent issue as it would only lead to turbulence in the state.
Aam Aadmi Party urged upon the Lg Administration to address the genuine demands of REK teachers on priority as lakhs of family members were dependent upon such employees for sustenance and livelihood.
