Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 01 kgs of ganja at a naka in the jurisdiction of PS Satwari Jammu.
A police team of PS Satwari constituted under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and led by SHO PS Satwari Inspr Sameer Jeelani assisted by PSI Meetu Singh rounded up a suspect namely Amola Ram S/O Ram Das Ram R/O Dayaram Bhaloin Teh Kataia Distt Gopalganj. During search, total 01 kgs of ganja was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 16/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act got registered at PS Satwari and accused got arrested.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
