Body of Baramulla girl recovered from Jehlum after 26 days

Body of a girl who jumped into the river Jhelum in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district last month was recovered today.

A girl jumped into river Jehlum from Khanbagh bridge in Baramulla following which a rescue team including police rushed to the spot and launched searches.

He said search operation to trace the girl was going on since last 26 days and today her body was recovered at Veerean Baramulla.

He added that after legal-medico formalities body will be handed over to family.

Further investigation in this regard is going on.
