Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 10.04 grams of heroin i.e 7 grams of heroin at B3 point NHW naka in the jurisdiction of PS Bagh e Bahu and 3.04 grams of heroin while patrolling near MC dollar hotel under the jurisdiction of PS Peermitha.
A police team of PS Bagh e Bahu led by SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari assisted by SHO PS Bagh e Bahu Inspr Surinder Raina while on naka duty at B3 point naka rounded up the accused namely Mohd Khalid @ Khillo S/o Murad Ali R/o Rangora who was coming in a vehicle bearing Registration No. JK14 5955. During search of the accused, 07 grams of heroin were recovered from his possession.
In this regard a Case FIR No. 12/2023 u/s 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act got registered at PS Bagh e Bahu and accused got arrested.
Similarly, another police team of PS Peermitha led by SDPO North Sunil Kumar Kesar assisted by SHO PS Peermitha Inspr Mohd Rashid and I/C PP Gujjar Nagar PSI Ajaz Ahmed while on patrolling duty near MC Doller hotel where they rounded up a suspect later identified as Charan Singh S/o Krishan lal R/o Sena Bhatti Pogal Paristan Ramban A/p House No 121 opposite Hotel Garden Prem Nagar Jammu. During search, total 3.04 grams of Heroin, two psychotropic injections and one syringe were recovered from his possession.
In this regard Case FIR No. 09/2023 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered at PS Peermitha and accused got arrested.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace. After this special police teams of PS Domana under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh were constituted. The team led by SHO PS Domana Inspr Tilak Raj assisted by I/C PP Pounichak SI Ram Rattan did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the area finally traced the lady along with her two minor children. Subsequently family of the missing lady was informed and all the traced persons were handed over to their legal heirs after completing all the legal formalities.
