On the directions of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, police have arrested ringleader Shab Ali alias “Goggu” involved in murderous attack on police party at Rajpura in the jurisdiction of police station Ghagwal.
On 28.10.2022 a police party of police post Rajpura conducted surprise vehicle checking at naka Bei nallah where bovine smuggling attempt was foiled by police and bovines were rescued. However, the notorious bovine smuggler “Goggu” fled away from the spot using his swift car. Upon reasonable suspicion , police naka party chased the car upto village Malani Rajpura where the ringleader Goggu alongwith other miscreants carried out murderous attack on police party and critically injured two police officials including one Head Constable of police who sustained severe head injury .
Upon this, a case FIR No. 181/2022 U/S 307/382/353/332/336/147/148 IPC was registered at police station Ghagwal and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by Dy.SP Hqrs Samba Mohd Usman, SHO police station Ghagwal, PSI Ankush Sharma and PSI Vineet Singh was constituted by SSP Samba and investigation was started. The ringleader “Goggu” was evading his arrest since commission of crime and police had been conducting raids at several places to apprehend him. With the arrest of ringleader Shab Ali alias “Goggu” s/o Sher Din r/o Chack Hand tehsil Marheen A/P Panthal Hiranagar, police have identified other accused involved in the murderous attack. Raids are going on to apprehend all other accused persons involved in the case.
