On the direction of District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet, a team of Mining department with the Co-operation of SDM Surankote, Mohd. Akbar seized/fined three vehicles at Bufliaz, Tehsil Surankote.
During the raid one heavy excavator, 02 trucks of Limestone involved in illegal mining have been seized.
In addition to this five Dumpers which was loaded by minor mineral without E-challan also seized.
After confiscating the vehicles, the DMO Javid Iqbal handed over the vehicles to the police for safe custody.
On the occasion, DMO has appealed to everyone not to be a part of illegal mining and not to buy material from any mining blocks without e-challan and to take legal action against anyone caught without e-challan.
