To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and take stringent action against Drug Peddlers within the district, Kathua Police today recovered approx. 13.19 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics at Dream Land Park area of PS Kathua, 01 Narco- Smuggler arrested as well as narcotic substance got seized on the spot.
On 08.03-2023 a Police team led by Insp. Sudhir Sadhotra SHO P/S Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Sh. Shammi Kumar JKPS during routine naka/patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area apprehended one person namely Sahil Dogra S/o Rattan Chand R/o Ward No. 08 Kathua who was wandering under suspicious circumstances. During checking approx. 13.19 grams of Heroin (chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his possession. Thereafter all the recovered narcotic substance was seized and one person was arrested. In this case FIR No. 98/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kathua. Further investigation is underway.
The swift action by Kathua Police has been applauded by the General Public. SSP Kathua said that the strict & legal action against Drug Peddlers will continue in future also. People are requested to co-operate with #kathua Police in fighting the dreadful menace of Drugs.
