Under the aegis of Civic Action Programme, Police District Awantipora organized a Road Race event in Pampore in which youth of Sub-Division Pampore participated. The said event was flagged off by SSP Awantipora Shri Ajaz Ahmed Zargar-JKPS. The race started from Dusso up to Govt Degree Collage Pampore.
SSP Awantipora while interacting with the participants said that everyone should take part in sports activities as it helps to boost their Self Confidence, Concentration, Physical as well as Mental Health. He said that students/youth should make optimum use of sports and channelize their energy in the right direction through sports activities. He also stressed upon the youth/students to organize anti-drug campaigns in their respective areas to save the society from drug menace.
During closing ceremony SSP Awantipora distributes cash prizes/ certificates among the first 10 winners of the event and participation certificates among all the participants.
SDPO Pampore, SHO Pampore, SHO Khrew and other Police Officers were present on the occasion.
