REASI, JUNE 23: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal on Friday chaired a meeting to finalize arrangements for the upcoming festival of Eid Ul Azha.
The DC inquired about the measures taken for provisioning uninterrupted power and water supply, medical facilities, parking, and transport, amongst other facilities during the Eid Days. He asked SSP and officers of stakeholder departments to make all necessary arrangements for the festival and emphasised the need to provide all necessary facilities to the public, including drinking water, transportation, and uninterrupted power and water supply and issued directions to the PDD and Jal Shakti Departments to make arrangements well in advance.
The EO Municipal Committee was directed to ensure cleanliness in and around the town, especially Eid-gah. Sheep / Animal Husbandry officers were directed to make available quality and healthy sacrificial animals for the festival.
Moreover, the Health Department was asked to keep all medical facilities readily available to cater to the public’s emergency needs. The AD FCS&CA and AC, Legal Metrology were also directed to keep a check on the weight and rates in the market. The Food inspector was directed to keep a close check on adulterated food, sweets and other eatables sold during the festival.
SSP, Amit Gupta, ADC Abdual Star, CMO, AD FCS&CA, DIO, AC legal Metrology, DSHO, DAHO, Tehsildar, EO Municipal Committee and prominent citizens attended the meeting.
