”Meri Mitti Mera Desh” Campaign observed at various Police establishments throughout the District Jammu to celebrate Independence Day by Jammu Police.
SSP Jammu Sh Chandan Kohli administered the pledge of ‘Panch Pran’ to the Jawans and officers of District Police Line Jammu. SSP Jammu while interpreting the ingredients of the ‘Panch Pran’ pledge said that the main objective of organizing such programme and administrating the oath as a part of Meri Matti Mera Desh under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is to inspire one and all to become best performers as citizen of the country, strengthen unity, respect those who protect the country, celebrate our heritage, remove any trace of colonial mindset and make India developed and self-reliant. More than 400 police personnels took a solemn pledge covering “Panch Pran” of the Government to the country regarding-
- Make India Developed & self reliant by 2047
- Remove any trace of colonial mindset
•Celebrate an heritage - Strengthen unity & respect those whose protect the country &
•Perform the duties of a citizen
He encouraged each and every police official to individually & collectively make a pledge at their respective units and make this Panch Pran hiding force for good governance.
This is a holistic approach as a part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, various Police stations of District Jammu observed “Meri Maati Mera Desh” a nationwide campaign.
Moreover in a display of dedication towards hard work and nations growth, efforts have been put forward by Jammu Police under the campaign of “Meri maati, Mera Desh “ for another program launched by government namely “Vasudha Vandan”where Jammu Police personnel planted seedlings of native species at DPL Jammu, DPO Jammu and other different locations of Jammu city to revitalise Mother Earth and create Amrit Vatikas(eternal garden) and also told all the police officials and local people to hold the same program at their respective units too so that our Mother Earth can be revitalised. In this programme, other officers of Jammu police SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta,JKPS ,SP South Shaheen Wahid,JKPS, SP North Kulbir Handa JKPS, Dalong with concerned SDPOs of Jammu district were present.
Also various SDPOs/ SHOs/ ICPPs held plantation drives in the areas under their respective units to encourage the sense of pride as a part of national campaign.
