To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and take stringent action against Drug Peddlers within the district, Reasi Police recovered approx. 08 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics, 02 Narco- Smugglers arrested as well as narcotic substance got seized on the spot.
During routine naka/patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area at Katra intercepted two persons namely, Sanjay Kumar S/O Puran Chand R/O Dansal, Jammu and Manik Dogra S/O Bodh Raj R/O Ward No. 6 Katra. During checking approx. 08 grams of Heroin (chitta) like narcotics was recovered from their possession. Thereafter all the recovered narcotic substance was seized and two persons were arrested.
In this regard a case FIR No. 271/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra.
The whole operation is led by SHO P/S Katra Insp. Nishant Gupta under the supervision of SDPO Katra Sh. Surinder Singh and overall supervision of SP Katra Sh. Vipan Chandran-JKPS.
SSP Reasi Amit Gupta -JKPS while sharing the details said that Reasi police is committed to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and appeal to public to support in its war against drugs for which any information pertaining to drug peddlers be shared with District Police on 24×7 helpline number 9070907017 where identity of caller is kept secret.
