According to the court’s inquiry prompted Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to provide insights into the matter, emphasizing that the status of Jammu and Kashmir as a Union Territory (UT) is ‘not permanent’ and that statehood will be reinstated once ‘normalcy’ returns.
