Today Police Party of Ps Akhnoor led by Sho Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq assisted by ic pp Chowki Choura Pankaj katoch under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma established a special naka for checking of vehicles at Tanda Highway in the Jurisdiction of Akhnoor. One Truck bearing registration number JK02X-8157 which was coming from Jammu towards Rajouri side was stopped for checking on suspicious grounds. During checking one bag of Poppy Straw (Bhukki )weighing 16 kg was recovered from a special cavity in cabin of the said truck. Driver (accused) namely Zafar Ahmed S/o Khan Mulik R/o Lassana Surankote District Poonch has been arrested . In this regard a case FIR No 288/2023 U/s 8/15/60 NDPS Act has been registered in Ps Akhnoor. Further investigation of the case is going on.
