Poetry

We stare into the void for hours,
Lost in the silence of time
Where faded voices echo like distant sighs
Not knowing why wounds of the soul refuse to heal
We numb the ache with fleeting escapes
Brick by brick we build a wall against our soul’s call
A temporary solace, but the pain
Revisits like a haunting refrain
We ignore the scars our soul endure,
Because we don’t know how to acknowledge the feelings of pain
Silencing the anguished cries that echo within
External turmoil fuels the internal strife
Our souls, weary of neglect,
Seek solace in the world’s reflection
And in that reflection, we glimpse the echoes of our own pain.
And this too, intensifies
And again these feelings we try to deny
Now where to escape
This is the last trick our soul plays,
To draw us back to our inner space
Urging us to integrate the fragmented pieces of soul
Only then it accepts to heal the wounds,
And then we began to understand the language of our soul
A language spoken not in words
But in feelings, in intuitions, in the quiet stirrings of the heart’s guiding light
