In a proud moment for District Doda, Owais Ul Faiz Lone, son of Faiz Ahmed Lone and resident of Khandan, Kastigarh, has successfully secured a seat in MBBS through open merit after clearing NEET. His achievement is being widely celebrated as a story of perseverance, discipline, and inspiration.

Owais began his schooling at Paramount Public HR School, Doda, where he studied up to 8th class. He later continued his education at Shaheen Public Higher Secondary School, Doda, and finally completed his 12th from Ranbir Higher Secondary School, Jammu.
Alongside academics, Owais nurtured a deep love for sports. A passionate cricketer, he proudly participated in state-level cricket tournaments in U-14, U-17, and U-19 categories, balancing his interest in sports with his academic pursuits. “Both education and sports are key instruments for the growth and development of an individual,” he emphasized during an interaction with System Observer.
Initially, Owais was inclined towards pursuing JEE, but inspired by his father, a respected Hakeem who has been serving society for over 20 years in Village Mundhar, Tehsil Kastigarh, he chose the medical path. “My father’s dedication to healing people motivated me to enter the medical field. I wanted to carry forward that legacy of service,” Owais shared.
Reflecting on his journey, Owais said, “It was not an easy road, but perseverance makes the impossible possible. My family’s unwavering support and my belief in hard work helped me achieve this milestone.”
Message for the Youth:
Owais urged aspiring students to stay committed to their goals: “Never give up, no matter how tough the journey seems. Balance your passions, be it sports or academics, and keep working with consistency. Success will follow.”
His journey from a small village in Doda to securing an MBBS seat through sheer determination stands as an inspiration for the youth of Jammu & Kashmir.
