J&K Police Kathua has booked one Habitual Offender/Bovine Smuggler under Public Safety Act (PSA) following multiple involvements in Bovine Smuggling activities.
On the directions of District Magistrate Kathua a warrant was issued against the accused namely Mohd.Asif S/o Mohd.Yaqoob R/o Mohalla Nadeem Colony Saharanpur,UP.
Today Police party of Police Station Lakhanpur led by SHO Lakhanpur Insp Tariq Ahmed under the guidance of *Addl. SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak JKPS & DySP DAR Kathua Sh. Ritesh Samyal and overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS* arrested the accused and executed the said warrant under section 8 (1) (A) of J&K Public Safety Act 1978 which was issued against the accused by District Magistrate Kathua after receiving the dossier from District Police Kathua.
The said accused was a Habitual Offender/Bovine Smuggler* and habitual of indulging in criminal activities and involved in following case FIR No.s:-
1. Case FIR NO. 99/2020 U/S 188/IPC 11 PCA Act PS Lakhanpur
2. Case FIR No. 36/2023 U/S 188/IPC,11 PCA Act of PS Lakhanpur.
3. Case FIR No. 34/2024 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act of PS Lakhanpur
4.Case FIR No.59/2024 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act PS Lakhanpur.
The said accused was evading arrest for last six months.
Finally the accused has been arrested today the warrant got executed and the accused person was lodged at District Jail Kathua.
