KATHUA, 26 NOV:- District Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shivdeep Singh Jamwal-JKPS constituted the Police team which was led by Insp. Tariq Ahmed SHO P/S Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO Border Sh. Dheeraj katoch JKPS, on 25.11.2023,apprehended one Criminal (Bovine Smuggler) namely Bhopinder Kumar @Pappu S/o Krishan Lal R/o Sunder Nagar Talab Tillo Jammu J&K who was “Habitual Criminal” Bovine smuggler involved in various criminal cases at Police Station Rajbagh and other police stations of the district kathua has been apprehended, against whom detention warrant was issued by District Magistrate, Kathua.
In order to prevent his illegal activities in the Kathua district, “Dossier” was prepared against the accused person and sent to the District Magistrate, Kathua for his detention under the Public Safety Act(PSA). Accordingly District Magistrate, Kathua issued a detention warrant against the accused and warrant have been executed and lodged in District Jail Kathua to curtail his various criminal activities .
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused person is a habitual criminal.As he was involved in the commission of organized crime and very active for the past few months and still continuing which is leading to eruption of terror among the general public. Moreover, the ordinary substantive law has also failed to restrain him from committing the criminal activities.
