Continuing its war against drugs a police party of poonch police led by SHO police station poonch Sh. Ranjeet Singh Rao and IC PP Jhulass Sh. Rahul Angral PSI under the close supervision of DySP Hqrs Sh. Afrat Hussain and Additional SP Poonch Sh. Mushim Ahmed and under the overall supervision of Shri Rohit Baskotra SSP poonch today arrested 4 notorious drug peddlers who are known to be involved in drug peddling since long. On a specific tip off police parties laid a naka at Jhulass and intercepted 4 pedestrians and upon their frisking 30gms of heroin like substance as well as 06 disposable syringes were recovered from their possession. The accused persons were identified as
1) Mohd Nawaz Sharief S/O Mohd Sharief R/O khanetar, Poonch
2)Mohd Shakeel S/O Shakar Din R/O Allapir, Poonch
3)Khalid Bhat S/O Sayed Akhter, R/O Allapir , Poonch
4)Rashid Ahmed@ Missing S/O Abdul Hamid R/O Qazi Mohra ward No. 1. Poonch.
In this regard Case FIR No. 12/2023 U/S 8/21/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Poonch and further investigation is going on.
