Doda Police apprehended three bootleggers with huge quantity of illicit liquor from their possession in Assar area.
Giving details Doda Police said that a Police party of Police Station Assar while conducting traffic checking at Dansal Assar intercepted three persons namely (1) Surinder Singh son of Prem Sigh resident of Manshi Bhagwah.(2) Pardeep Singh son of Panchi Ram resident of Bijarni Bhagwah and (3) Kalyan Sing son of Ghambir Singh resident of Koti Doda and during checking police party recovered (86) bottles of illicit liquor from their possession which was being taken by them for selling purpose illegally.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 03/2023 under relevant section has been registered at Police Station Assar and investigation of the case has been taken up.
Pertinent to mention here that Doda police has launched special drive against the black traders /smugglers to eradicate the menace of drug peddling, manufacturing/ selling of illicit liquor, bovine smuggling and appealing the general public to cooperate Police and provide information/ inputs to Police so that action under law is taken against the offenders.
