KATHUA; Aug 15; On the eve of the 77th Independence Day, full dress parade ceremony was held at District Sports Stadium Kathua, amid tight security arrangements.On this occasion DDC Chairman Kathua Retd. Col. Sh Mahan Singh was the chief guest who alongwith Deputy Commisioner Kathua Sh. Rakesh Minhas- IAS and Senior Superintendent of Police Sh. Shivdeep Singh Jamwal -JKPS (SSP Kathua) unfurled the Tricolor National Flag and took salute to the march past of the participating contingents. The parade was commanded by SDPO Border Sh. Dheeraj Singh Katoch JKPS alongwith PSI Rajat Kotwal( Second Parade Commander) whereas other contingents including DPL Kathua, IRP 19TH BN, PTS Kathua, Forest Protection Force, Home Guards,NCC Cadets, Govt. Boys Higher Sec. School Kathua, Govt. Girls Higher Sec. School Kathua and other private Educational Institutional contingents including Righveda Convent Higher Sec. School, RSJN School Kathua, Little Angels School,Jammu Sanskriti School, Spring Dales Kathua, DPS Kathua, DAV School Kathua, Minerva Public School etc also graced the ocassion. A colorful cutural programme was presented by the students of various schools of Kathua.On this occasion DC Kathua Sh. Rakesh Minhas -IAS, SSP Kathua Sh.
