0NE THEFT CASE SOLVED; APPROX. 35 GRAMS OF GOLDEN JEWELLERY RECOVERED BY KATHUA POLICE AT RAMKOT; 01 THIEF ARRESTED.

Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shivdeep Singh Jamwal-JKPS has solved a theft case by arresting 01 thief and recovered stolen Golden ornaments(approx. 35 Grams) from the offender who was involved in the offence in the limits of PP Ramkot.
On 13-03-2023 on the complaint of the complainant namely Darshan Singh S/o Angrez Singh R/o Lakhri Tehsil Ramkot and District Kathua a complaint was registered at PP Ramkot that some unknown persons had broken the lock of his house as well as Almirah and stolen some Golden ornaments for which a case vide FIR No. 35/2023 U/S 454/380/ IPC in connection with theft has been registered at Police Station Billawar and further investigation started.Acting on the same on 12/10/2023 police party of PP Ramkot led by SI Sanjeet Singh IC PP Ramkot under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Sh. Surinder Khadyal today arrested one suspected person/ thief who evaded his arrest.During sustained questioning the accused confessed his involvement and on his disclosure following stolen golden ornaments items viz. 1. One Mangalsutra 2. One Nath 3. One Mang Tikka 4. Two Ear Rings 5. Three Rings making a total of approx. 35 grams of Golden Ornaments were recovered from the possesion of said accused person namely Shakoor Ahmed S/o Lt. Mohd. Aayoob R/o Nalew Tehsil Lohai Malhar District Kathua in above said case whereas further investigation of the case is going on and his involvement in any other case cannot be ruled out.
